ONE S5 (89-91) Shift cup bushing. Goes inside the gear selector block, which is pinned to the selector rod. In 1989, Mazda went to a bushing’d block vs 88 & older (no bushing, wears overtime with no way to get slop out). The factory bushing wears out with time, leading to a sloppy feeling shifter, with a good deal of excessive play.
With this bushing, you can install with the transmission in the car.
Part is machined from acetal (Delrin) and ready to drop in. Just remove your shifter, fish out remnants of bushing (if any), and tap this in. Good to go.
Please note that the bushing that you receive may be either white or black depending on available material at the time of your order, but they are both made of Delrin and will work exactly the same! 🙂
